Sunderland are in talks to sign Chelsea goalkeeper Jorge Petrovic this summer. Sunderland have been pushing for more reinforcements in order to help them stay in the Premier League this season, having signed Enzo Le Fee permanently before bringing in Habib Diarra from Strasbourg.
They are also set to sign Union Saint-Gilloise midfielder Noah Sidiki.
They are also in the market for a goalkeeper and were previously hoping to sign Marcin Bulka. But the Nice goalkeeper is set to move to Saudi Arabia.
Petrovic joined Chelsea from New England Revolution in 2023, but has failed to establish himself at the club.
He was loaned to Strasbourg last season, where he kept 10 clean sheets. And played a key role as the French side finished seventh in Ligue 1.
His performances have drawn attention from several clubs, but Sunderland are close to winning the race.
However, the Black Cats have a new target in Chelsea’s Petrovic, with talks currently underway.
