Former Tottenham Hotspur star Giovani Dos Santos has turned professional after retiring from football to become an oil tycoon.

The former Mexico winger, who was sign by Spurs from Barcelona for £9m, spent four years at White Hart Lane, scoring just three goals in 33 games and was loan out to Ipswich before moving to Mallorca in 2012.

Dos Santos also helped Mexico win gold at the 2012 London Olympics, beating Brazil 2-0 in the final at Wembley.

Dos Santos, 35, retired in 2021 and has since had a business buying and selling luxury cars in his home country.

But the 106-cap international has now become the JR Ewing of football by investing in Procura Mexico.

Giovani Dos Santos, 35, retired from football in 2021 and has since run a luxury car business in his home country.

His company is part of state oil giant Pemex.

Dos Santos reportedly earns up to £400,000 a year from Pemex, the second-largest oil company in the US.

“According to our information, his new job will earn him $400,000-500,000 a year, or more than 10 million Mexican pesos,” the source said.

Dos Santos is a product of ยูฟ่าเบท Barcelona’s academy and has been toute as the new Lionel Messi.

He also played for Galatasaray, Racing Santander, Villarreal, LA Galaxy and Club America before retiring.
